UKTIS says cephalosporins may be used at any stage of pregnancy when clinically indicated, while BUMPS says most pregnancy studies of cephalosporins have not shown harm. DailyMed cefdinir labeling notes that there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women and says it should be used only if clearly needed.
